Tempest of Restoration
Poetry in Translation
the longing to forge ahead
as a decaying organ
balance means staying in place
when the gusts push hard from behind
where to keep going
what more to attain
when humanity’s warmth is not enough
the city a cesspool of filth
and the specter of death draws ever closer
all we crave
is a deluge of healing
a tempest of restoration
we peer deep within ourselves
yearning to glimpse people free
of the taint of rot
only then can we take
a step forward.
